Let’s begin by finding a comfortable space where you can sit or lie down in peace. Whether it’s a cozy corner in your room, a soft patch of grass outdoors, or any cozy space that allows for quiet and solitude. The time spent here, right now, is solely for you.
Comfort and Presence
Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold for a moment, and exhale slowly through your mouth. With each breath, allow yourself to fully feel the rise and fall of your chest. Draw your attention to the tranquility inherent in your breath. Become aware of the presence of your body in this space.
Now, imagine a protective white light enveloping you from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes. This light gives you a profound sense of safety and comfort. Rest within this light and let it enable you to safely explore your inner child.
Entering Your Inner World
Next, imagine a staircase leading down to a beautiful door. This door is the gateway to your inner world – the realm of your inner child. As you descend every step, feel all external thoughts, worries and fears dissolving away.
Reach out and gently open the door. As it swings open, allow your imagination to fill the space beyond. This is your safe, calming, and nurturing space. Take in the details, the colour, the sound, and the feel of this space.
Meeting Your Inner Child
See a small figure in the distance. As you step closer, recognise this figure, it is you. This is your little self, your inner child. Observe the child before you. Their appearance, behaviour, feeling, everything about them. Remember, they are you and they carry all your deepest emotions, memories, and dreams.
Choose to allow:
1. Joy in witnessing your innocence.
2. Sadness in remembering your wounds.
3. Comfort in embracing your pure self.

Embracing Your Inner Child
