If you prefer, you can soften your eyes, letting them rest gently on a neutral space in front of you. Deepen your breath, inviting to find your center, where inner peace resides.
- With each inhale, imagine drawing in a sense of calm. As you exhale, allow any tension or discomfort in your body to melt away. Notice the sensation of your breath as it flows in and out. Feel your chest rise and fall. Can you feel the cool air as it enters your nose? Or perhaps the warmth of the exhaled air?
- Allowing your attention to drift down to your body, notice your feet on the ground. Feel the firmness of the earth beneath you. Allow this connection to ground you, to give you a sense of stability.
- Now turn your attention towards your hands. Are they resting comfortably? Can you feel the texture of the material beneath them or the air gently caressing them?
